Kathi and Felix were able to complete the front part of the residential building built in 2013 before the official foundation of Move-ING in spring 2018.
Because of their many years of experience, the two found several in private
Supporters who entrusted them with donations of 19,000 euros for the completion of the shell. There are practical reasons for the fact that a house for children was built directly at the place of learning. For most children, the long way from their parents' home to school has been insurmountable due to their physical impairments.
The expanded part of the building includes five bedrooms for the children and a spacious,
Barrier-free sanitary area that is specially adapted to the needs of the sick residents. There is also a residential wing for the nuns with two bedrooms,
two sanitary rooms and an office. In addition, the part of the building has a very large inviting entrance and lounge area. All rooms as well as entrances and entrances are barrier-free, so that children who are dependent on a wheelchair and / or other walking aids can move freely. The current equipment allows the easy accommodation of 20 children. All the furniture was made by a local carpenter according to the wishes of the nuns.
For long-term quality assurance of the building, high-quality building materials and a
professional execution is very important. It was particularly important to Kathi and Felix
not only to adapt the house to the special needs of the children, but also a "home"
to accomplish. It is said to be a place where children can grow up peacefully. During the four-month construction period, Kathi and Felix were responsible for planning and construction. The nuns were involved in all important decisions.

Since Kathi and Felix lived and worked together with the nuns on the site during the construction phase, the trusting and friendly connection to the nuns developed during this time, which is particularly important for the project work in Chabalisa.
The good cooperation is based on this and she always ensured the successful implementation of the projects.
The rapid completion of the apartment building was made possible thanks in particular to the team that Kathi and Felix had employed throughout the entire period. This consisted exclusively of local artisans and workers, for whom a four-month job with fair pay was a blessing. The communication took place in both English and Kiswahili, the official language of Tanzania.
